Ordinary Assembly of the Legambiente "Green City" 2011 Membership

Legambiente is a open space in which new ideas and new forms of engagement are citizenship.

Legambiente is an association of citizens in Italy which has been operating for thirty years in Italy for the protection and enhancement of and nature of ' environment, natural resources of of collective health, animal and plant species of of historical, artistic and cultural , of territory and landscape ; in favor of lifestyle, production and consumption and for training geared to ' ecosviluppo and consumer protection, to a balanced and respectful relationship between human beings, other living things and nature.

A Putignano this year we have:

• organized excursions for the understanding and appreciation of our natural landscape and historical architecture while leaving room for socializing and fun for members.
• joined the national campaign " Imbrocchiamola " organizing an event in the council chamber with speeches by experts and authorities and setting up a banquet on the occasion of World Water Day.
• promoted a day for the enhancement of the Oasis Natural Barsento
• promoted and adhered to the Common Good Water Movement thanks to which it was collected and one million four hundred thousand signatures for promotion of the national referendum against the private management of water supplies, of which only about 1000 in Putignano.
• intensified relations with other bodies of the association reference by inclusion in the list of groups targeted by the 5x1000, Region Puglia (enrollment Regional OB), City (registration with municipal associations ), Legambiente Puglia Region in addition to the circles of Bari, Castellana, Gioia del Colle, Mola di Bari, Polignano, participated in the events of Monopoly in collaboration with the Committee NO OIL, EcoDem Volunteer and Service Center at St. Nicholas.
• Done Clean Up the World and Day Tree (see the following links: link 1 ; link 2), the national symbol of the work of LEGAMBIENTE campaigns against pollution and for a better quality of life in urban areas.
• Adhered to project Dew (former Chernobyl Project) to support distance of Belarusian children still suffer the Chernobyl nuclear disaster
